Woman Murdered on Herkimer (73rd Precinct)

On Monday, September 27, 2010 at approximately 2019 hours, police responded to a call of a person shot inside the vestibule at 1330 Herkimer Street, in the confines of the 73 Precinct.  Upon arrival, police found a F/B/23 shot once in the left torso.  EMS also responded and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced DOA. Investigation ongoing.

Sunday Morning Murder, St. Marks Ave. (77th Precinct)

On Sunday September 19, 2010 at approximately 0224 hours, in front of 770 St. Marks Avenue, within the confines of the 77 Precinct, police responded to a call of a male shot.  Upon their arrival, a M/B/19 was discovered with a gunshot wound to the back.  The victim was removed by EMS to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time, the investigation is ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.

Parks Worker Raped at St. Andrews Park (79th Precinct)

On Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 0907 hours, inside St Andrews Park (Atlantic Avenue between Kingston Avenue and St. Andrews Place) within the confines of the 79 Precinct, police responded to above location on a report of a sexual assault.  Upon arrival police discovered a F/29 who was raped by an unknown M/B/20s at knifepoint.  Suspect fled the above location in an unknown direction.  Victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. No arrests at this time.  

Suspect is described as a M/B/20's, approximately 5'8", 200 lbs., wearing a red shirt with a white markings, black shorts, and red/white sneakers. He was last seen fleeing on a small red mountain bike.

On Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 1347 hours in the confines of the 79 Pct., police responded to 85 Tompkins Ave. for reports of a male shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered a M/B/28 with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and pronounced the victim DOA. No arrests. Investigation is ongoing. Teen Stabbed to Death on Fulton Street (75th Precinct)

On Monday August 9th, 2010 at 0330 hours police responded to a 911 call of an assault with a knife at the corner of Norwood Avenue and Fulton Street in the confines of the 75th precinct. Upon arrival police observed a M/H/18 stabbed in the chest. EMS responded and transported the victim to Brookdale hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time, the investigation is ongoing. The identification of the victim is being held pending notification to family.

Killed on Pacific Street (77th Precinct)


On Saturday July 31, 2010 at approximately 0151 hrs in front of 1997 Pacific St, within the confines of the 77 Pct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male shot. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim, a M/B/32, shot in the head. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

Shot and Killed on MacDougal Street (81st Precinct)

On Monday, August 2, 2010 at approximately 2145 hours, police responded to a report of a person shot in the vicinity of 83 Mcdougal Street, located within the confines of the 81 Precinct. Upon arrival police discovered the victim, a M/B/32, lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the male to Brookdale Hospital were he was pronounced D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

The identification of the deceased is pending a proper family notification.

Teen Shot to Death, Glenmore Ave. (73rd Precinct)


On Monday July 19, 2010 at approximately 0330 hours, in front of 120 Glenmore Avenue, in the confines of the 73 Precinct, police responded to a call of a male shot.  Upon arrival it was determined that a M/B/15 was shot once in the torso by an unidentified male black who fled in a dark colored vehicle.  EMS responded and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.  There are no arrests at this time, the investigation is ongoing.

Shot and Killed on Eastern Parkway (77th Precinct)


On Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2350 hours, in front of 1005 Eastern Parkway, in the confines of the 77 Precinct, police responded to a call of a person shot. Upon arrival, police were informed that the victim, a M/B/27 was involved in a dispute with an unidentified M/B when the victim was shot multiple times to the torso. The victim was transported by EMS to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA at 0018 Hrs. The suspect fled the scene. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

WANTED for Rape of a Child, Kingsborough Houses (77th Precinct)

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the following individual wanted in connection with a sexual assault that took place on July 11, 2010 at approx 0750 hours inside of the Kingsborough Houses in the confines of the 77 Pct. The perp approached the victim F/B/11 at gunpoint in the elevator of the building and sexually assaulted her.

The perp is described as a M/B/approx 30 years old, 5'10 and 200 lbs. He was wearing a leather baseball hat, blue jeans and a brown and white stripe shirt. The perp was described as having a Caribbean accent.

The NYPD reports that missing person Morris Beecher has been located and is in good condition.

3 Shot, 1 Dead at Kosciuszko and Tompkins (79th Precinct)


On Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 0144 hours, police responded to a call of a person shot in the vicinity of Kosciuszko Street & Tompkins Avenue, located within the confines of the 79th Precinct.  Upon arrival, victim #1, a M/B/23, was discovered lying on the ground with a gun shot wound to his head.  Victim #2, a M/B/39, was discovered with a gun shot wound to his leg.  Victim #3, a M/B/29, was discovered with a gun shot wound to his leg.  EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victims to Kings County Hospital were victim #1 was pronounced D.O.A and victims #2&3 were listed in stable condition.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

On Monday May 31, 2010 at approximately 2045 hours, the victim was aboard a southbound "C" train when approximately 5 M/B's started assaulting him with an umbrella. Suspects exited at the Nostrand Avenue station and fled. Victim sustained laceration to the head and was treated at Brookdale Hospital.

On Saturday July 3, 2010 at 0248 hours in front of 1181 Sutter Ave, within the confines of the 75 Precinct, Police responded to a call of a male shot. Upon arrival, Police observed two (2) males shot about the body. Victim # 1 (M/B/24) was shot 1x to the chest and was pronounced DOA by EMS at the scene. Victim # 2 (M/B/21) was shot 1x to the torso and 1x to the forearm and transported to Brookdale hospital in stable condition. There are no arrests at this time. The Investigation is ongoing.

3 Shot, 1 Dead, Herkimer & Kingston (79th Precinct)

On 6-30-2010 at approx 2050 hours police responded to a 911 call of a person shot inside of 335 Herkimer Street (Kingston Park) in the confines of the 79 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered 3 people shot. Victim #1 M/B/32 was shot in the chest and pronounced DOA at Interfaith Hospital. Victim #2 M/B/36 was shot 1x in the right leg and taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Victim #3 F/B/45 was shot 1x in the abdomen and taken to Kings County in stable condition.

Shot to Death, Brevoort Houses (81st Precinct)

On Wednesday June 30, 2010 at approximately 2328 hrs police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at 254 Ralph Avenue (Breevort Houses) within the confines of the 81 Pct. Upon arrival police observed a M/B/21 shot in the torso. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Identification of the victim is pending family notification.

On Monday June 28, 2010 at approximately 2012 hrs police responded to a 911 call reporting a child shot at the F/O 50 Legion Street within the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival of police they discovered that (2) children had been shot at the location. Victim # 1 a M/B/10 was shot 2X in the leg and transported to Brookdale Hospital by EMS in stable condition. Victim # 2 a M/B/12 was shot 1X in the wrist and transported to King's County Hospital by EMS in stable condition.

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 2:39 a.m. police responded to a person shot in the vicinity of Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue, located within the confines of the 83rd Precinct.  Upon arrival a M/B/32 was discovered lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.  EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the male D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 1:17 a.m. at Hancock Street and Bushwick Avenue, in the confines of the 83 Precinct, police responded to a call of a person shot.  Upon arrival a F/B/22 was discovered lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to her body.  EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Woodhull Hospital where she was pronounced D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident, the investigation is ongoing.

Chanel never made it to Applebees. Four days later, Chanel’s body was found in a garbage bag in front of 212 Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn. Four years later, Chanel’s murder remains unsolved. Chanel Petro Nixon was a jewel in our community. Join us as we honor her memory.

WANTED for Rape (67th and 71st Precincts)



The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying the following suspects wanted in connection with a Sexual Assault which occurred within the confines of the 67 Pct and 71 Pct.

The details are as follows:

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at approximately 0200 hrs at the location of Linden Blvd and Bedford Avenue in the confines of 67 Pct, the victim (F/19) was walking when suspect #1 grabbed her and forced her between 2 parked cars where he Sexually Assaulted her. Suspect #1 then walked her several blocks to a secluded area located on Parkside Avenue in the confines of the 71 Pct where she was raped. Suspect #2 arrived at the scene at which time he also raped the victim. Both suspects fled the scene. The victim was treated at area hospital.

Suspect #1:

M/B, 5'7",160 lbs. Wearing a Blue jeans, white sneakers, white t-shirt.

Suspect #2:

M/B, 5'10", 200 lbs. Wearing a Grey sweater, black sneakers, black baseball hat, goatee.

Killed Near Brookdale Hospital (73rd Precinct)

On Friday June 4, 2010 at approximately 1656 hrs police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at Amboy Street and Linden Boulevard, within the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival, responding Officers determined that the victim, a M/B/22, was operating a Ford Van with one passenger inside when the suspect, a M/B, exited a green colored sedan and fired numerous times into the vehicle striking the victim 2X in the back. The passenger of the van then drove to the Linden Boulevard Emergency Room entrance of Brookdale Hospital. The passenger then carried the victim into Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

ALERT: Young Girls Attacked on Kingston Ave. (71st Precinct)

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at approximately 1715 hours, in the confines of the 71 Precinct, police responded to an assault in the vicinity of Brooklyn Avenue and Kingston Avenue, upon arrival it was determined that an unidentified M/B/20's had approached a F/W/10 years old and picked her up.  The victim screamed and the suspect fled the location.  Approximately ten minutes later at 1725 hours, at Maple Street and Kingston Avenue, the suspect walked up to a F/B/13 years old and attempted to grab the girl by the arm.  The victim ran and the suspect fled on Kingston Avenue. There were no injuries sustained in either incident, the investigation is ongoing.


The suspect is described as a M/B/20's wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.  He is approximately 5'8" to 6'0" tall.

On 06/01/10, at approximately 1405 HRS, police were called to respond to 187-Troy avenue, in the confines of the 077 PCT, for a male stabbed at that location. Upon arrival, responding officer's found a M/B/31 who was stabbed 1x in the chest. The victim was removed to KCH Hospital where he was pronounced DOA at 1437 HRS. Investigation Continues.

Fatal Shooting at Essex Terrace (75th Precinct)

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at approximately 1929 hours, in front of 2305 Linden Blvd. in the confines of the 075 Precinct, police responded to a radio run of a possible male shot at location. Upon arrival, they found a M/H/29 shot once in the right thigh. The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital by E.M.S. where he was pronounced D.O.A. upon arrival. No arrests at this time investigation ongoing.

Woman Stabbed to Death at Home (75th Precinct)

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at approximately 0221 hours, inside of 425 Pine Street, apartment 1F, in the confines of the 075 Precinct, police responded to a report of an unconscious female at location. Upon arrival police discovered a F/H/39 unconscious with a stab wound to the neck. E.M.S. pronounced the victim D.O.A. at the scene.

Shot to Death at Franklin & Lincoln Place (77th Precinct)

On 05/19/10, at approximately 1056 hrs police were called to Franklin avenue and Lincoln Place, in the confines of the 077 PCT for a male shot at that location. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a M/B/34 shot 1(x) in the head. Victim was removed to KCH Hospital and pronounced DOA. Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. No arrests. Investigation ongoing.

WANTED for Home Invasion at Ebbets Field (71st Precinct)


The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two (2) individuals wanted in connection with a robbery and home invasion that occurred in the confines of the 71 precinct.


The details are as follows:


On Friday, May 14, 2010 at approximately 0830 hours suspect #1 posing as a census worker, rang the door bell of victim, a F/B/31 at 1700 Bedford Avenue. When the victim opened her apartment door, suspect #2 produced a silver handgun and both suspects entered the apartment. Suspect #2 removed victim's jewelry and cellphone. The suspects also removed an undetermined amount of USC from the apartment. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.


The suspects are described as follows:


SUSPECT #1: M/B/ approximately 40-50 years old, slim build, has bald head. Wearing: Blue suit with a tie.


SUSPECT#2: M/B/approximately 25-35 years old, 210 lbs. Wearing: A gray sweatshirt, long white t-shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers.

Shot to Death on Eastern Parkway (73rd Precinct)

On Sunday, May 16, 2010 at approximately 2125 hours, police responded to a male shot in front of 1828 Eastern Parkway, located within the confines of the 73rd Precinct. Upon arrival a M/H/27 was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his neck. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital were he was pronounced D.O.A.


There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Shot to Death on Lafayette Ave (79th Precint)

On Thursday, May 13, 2010 at approximately 1620 hrs, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot at 411 Lafayette Avenue in the confines of the 79 precinct.  When police arrived, they discovered a M/B/24 with a gunshot wound to the chest.  EMS responded and the aided was transported to Brooklyn Hospital were he was pronounced DOA.  

There are no arrests at this time.  This investigation is ongoing.
