2 Children Shot on Legion Street, 1 Arrest (73rd Precinct)

On Monday June 28, 2010 at approximately 2012 hrs police responded to a 911 call reporting a child shot at the F/O 50 Legion Street within the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival of police they discovered that (2) children had been shot at the location. Victim # 1 a M/B/10 was shot 2X in the leg and transported to Brookdale Hospital by EMS in stable condition. Victim # 2 a M/B/12 was shot 1X in the wrist and transported to King's County Hospital by EMS in stable condition.

The following individual has been arrested in regards to the above incident

Charges- 2 Counts of Attempted Murder, Assault, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Use of a Firearm

Man Shot to Death, Halsey & Wilson (83rd Precinct)

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 2:39 a.m. police responded to a person shot in the vicinity of Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue, located within the confines of the 83rd Precinct.  Upon arrival a M/B/32 was discovered lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.  EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the male D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

Woman Shot to Death, Hancock & Bushwick (83rd Precinct)

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 1:17 a.m. at Hancock Street and Bushwick Avenue, in the confines of the 83 Precinct, police responded to a call of a person shot.  Upon arrival a F/B/22 was discovered lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to her body.  EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Woodhull Hospital where she was pronounced D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident, the investigation is ongoing.

Stabbed to Death, Halsey & Reid (81st Precinct)

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 0246 hours, police responded to a person stabbed in the vicinity of Halsey Street and  Reid Avenue, located within the confines of the 81 Precinct. Upon arrival a M/B/26 was discovered lying on the ground with a stab wound to his chest. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to KCH were he was pronounced D.O.A.

Murdered on Father's Day (73rd Precinct)

On Sunday, June 20, 2010, at approximately 0131 hours, in the vicinity of 2228 Fulton Avenue, in the confines of the 073 Precinct, police responded to a radio run of a male shot at location. Upon arrival they found a M/H/31 shot in the torso. The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced DOA at 0320 hours.

On Fathers Day 2006, Chanel Petro Nixon, a sixteen year old honor student at Boys & Girls High School in Brooklyn, NY left her home to fill out a job application at Applebees Restaurant in Restoration Plaza on Fulton Street. Chanel never made it to Applebees. Four days later, Chanel’s body was found in a garbage bag in front of 212 Kingston Avenue in Brooklyn. Four years later, Chanel’s murder remains unsolved. Chanel Petro Nixon was a jewel in our community. Join us as we honor her memory.

Killed on Albany Avenue (71st Precinct)


On Saturday, June 12, 2010 at approximately 2220 hours at 570 Albany Ave, confines of the 71 Precinct, Police responded a call of a male shot. Upon arrival, Police observed a M/B/21 with one (1) gun shot wound to the chest.  EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. Investigation is ongoing.

WANTED for Rape (67th and 71st Precincts)



The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying the following suspects wanted in connection with a Sexual Assault which occurred within the confines of the 67 Pct and 71 Pct.

The details are as follows:

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at approximately 0200 hrs at the location of Linden Blvd and Bedford Avenue in the confines of 67 Pct, the victim (F/19) was walking when suspect #1 grabbed her and forced her between 2 parked cars where he Sexually Assaulted her. Suspect #1 then walked her several blocks to a secluded area located on Parkside Avenue in the confines of the 71 Pct where she was raped. Suspect #2 arrived at the scene at which time he also raped the victim. Both suspects fled the scene. The victim was treated at area hospital.

Suspect #1:

M/B, 5'7",160 lbs. Wearing a Blue jeans, white sneakers, white t-shirt.

Suspect #2:

M/B, 5'10", 200 lbs. Wearing a Grey sweater, black sneakers, black baseball hat, goatee.

Killed Near Brookdale Hospital (73rd Precinct)

On Friday June 4, 2010 at approximately 1656 hrs police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at Amboy Street and Linden Boulevard, within the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival, responding Officers determined that the victim, a M/B/22, was operating a Ford Van with one passenger inside when the suspect, a M/B, exited a green colored sedan and fired numerous times into the vehicle striking the victim 2X in the back. The passenger of the van then drove to the Linden Boulevard Emergency Room entrance of Brookdale Hospital. The passenger then carried the victim into Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.


Identity of the DOA is pending proper family notification.

ALERT: Young Girls Attacked on Kingston Ave. (71st Precinct)

On Wednesday June 2, 2010 at approximately 1715 hours, in the confines of the 71 Precinct, police responded to an assault in the vicinity of Brooklyn Avenue and Kingston Avenue, upon arrival it was determined that an unidentified M/B/20's had approached a F/W/10 years old and picked her up.  The victim screamed and the suspect fled the location.  Approximately ten minutes later at 1725 hours, at Maple Street and Kingston Avenue, the suspect walked up to a F/B/13 years old and attempted to grab the girl by the arm.  The victim ran and the suspect fled on Kingston Avenue. There were no injuries sustained in either incident, the investigation is ongoing.


The suspect is described as a M/B/20's wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.  He is approximately 5'8" to 6'0" tall.

Stabbed to Death on Troy Ave. (77th Precinct)

On 06/01/10, at approximately 1405 HRS, police were called to respond to 187-Troy avenue, in the confines of the 077 PCT, for a male stabbed at that location. Upon arrival, responding officer's found a M/B/31 who was stabbed 1x in the chest. The victim was removed to KCH Hospital where he was pronounced DOA at 1437 HRS. Investigation Continues.
