WANTED for iPad Mugging at Parkside Ave. Q Train (71st Precinct)


The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the suspect who is seen in the attached photo(s) in regards to a strong arm robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at approximately 0630 hours at the parkside Avenue "Q" line subway station within the confines of the 71 precinct.



On the above date and time the suspect approached the victim (M/B/21) and grabbed the victim(s) I Pad from his hand at which time a struggle ensued causing an injury to the victim(s) knee.


The suspect is described as a M/B, 18-25 years of age, short black hair and was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, brown tee shirt, dark colored jeans & white sneakers.

MISSING: Levone Moore, Dean Street (77th Precinct)


The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the following missing person who was last seen in the confines of the 77 precinct.



The missing was last seen on Monday, August 29, 2011 at approximately 1130 hours inside the below listed residence by his roommate.
The missing is:


Levone Moore, M/B/24
716 Dean Street 2nd Fl.


The missing is described as being 6'00", 170 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray tee shirt, black stone wash jeans and white "Nike" sneakers.

Murder in the Boulevard Houses (75th Precinct)

On Monday, August 29, 2011 at approximately 1709 hours police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot inside of 785 Schenck Avenue (Boulevard Houses) within the confines of the 75 precinct. Upon arrival of police they discovered the victim (M/B/51) shot in the torso inside the elevator on the first floor of the location. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time and the investigation is ongoing.


Identification of the victim is pending proper family notification.

Suspect in Crown Hts Murder Arrested (71st Precinct)

Shawn Williams was murdered on Nostrand Avenue on Aug. 2.


Subsequent to an ongoing investigation the following suspect has been arrested and charged:

Denzel Holder, M/B/19

1325 Union Street 

Charge: Murder 2





Killer of Teen Caught; Arresting Officers Honored (77th Precinct)

In early June, 14-year-old Tyrek O'Hara-Morris was shot to death at 1250 Park Place.


Following an investigation, the following suspect was apprehended and arrested:

Dequan Edwards, M/B/18 
1598 Sterling Place, Apt 2F

Charges:
Murder 2
Criminal Possession of a Weapon

NYPD Sergeant Robert Maloney, Police Officer Danny Fana and Police Officer Steven Minucci were recognized Thursday August 18, 2011 at Police Headquarters for apprehending an armed individual on June 2nd who Detectives later identified as the suspect in the murder of a 14- year-old boy that occurred the previous night in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

The officers were on patrol in the 77 Precinct when they observed a man, Dequan Edwards, grabbing and adjusting his waistband while walking along Rochester Avenue. When the officers approached Edwards to stop and question him regarding what they believed was a gun in his possession he fled into a building. The officers pursued Edwards and apprehended him after a brief struggle.  At the time of the arrest Edwards was in possession of a loaded .22 caliber firearm.

After further investigation it was determined that Edwards was wanted for the homicide that occurred the previous night when 14- year- old Tyrek O'Hara-Morris was shot in the eye and killed on Park Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Edwards was charged with Homicide and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Gunned Down on Willoughby Ave. (79th Precinct)


On Saturday August 13, 2011 at approximately 2141 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 660 Willoughby Avenue in the confines of the 79 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed a M/B/36 with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was later pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The deceased has been identified as:

Sean Hill, M/B/36

WANTED for Questioning in Murder on Pitkin Ave. (73rd Precinct)

On Saturday July 23th, 2011 at 0346 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1703 Pitkin Ave, within the confines of the 73 precinct. Details here.



The New York City Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying two females who were at the scene of the Homicide. Detectives would like to interview the females to see if they have any information in regards.

Killed on Nostrand Avenue (71st Precinct)

On Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at approximately 1557 hours police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in front of 902 Nostrand Avenue within the confines of the 71 precinct. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim (M/B/26) shot multiple times. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
