WANTED for Rape Near Monroe Street (79th Precinct)



The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the following individual wanted for a rape which took place in the vicinity of Monroe Street in the confines of the 79 Pct.
 
The victim F/29 got into the suspects vehicle at Throop Avenue and Jefferson Street drove around the area. When they got to the vicinity of Monroe Street the suspect forcibly raped the victim inside of the vehicle described as a black SUV with blue and yellow NY plates.
 
The suspect is described as a M/B/30's approx 6'0", approximately 160 lbs, with corn row braids. He also had a tattoo under his right eye (unknown design) and spoke with a West Indian accent.

Murder on Thatford Avenue (73rd Precinct)

On Monday, October 3, 2011, at approximately 0530 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 498 Thatford Avenue, within the confines of the 73 Precinct. Upon arrival, police observed a M/B/48 with a sustained gunshot wound to the chest. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

WANTED for Murder on Marcus Garvey Blvd. (79th Precinct)




The New York City Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects wanted for a homicide within the confines of the 79 Precinct. Details are as follows:



On Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 1732 hours, in front of 358 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, within the confines of the 79 Precinct, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim, a M/B/79, shot in the neck. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. A preliminary investigation determined that a male black was being chased by two unknown blacks who were shooting at him. The male black ran into 358 Marcus Garvey Boulevard. The two male black suspects stopped in front of the location and began firing into the location, striking the victim who was in front. The suspects then fled the location.

WANTED for Attempted Murder of 18-Yr-Old on Nostrand Avenue (70th Precinct)





The New York City Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect, as well as his two accomplices, wanted for a shooting within the confines of the 70 Precinct. Details are as follows:On Tuesday, September, 27, 2011 at approximately 1500 hours in front of 2154 Nostrand Ave the victim, a M/B/18, was shot 4 times by Suspect #1 after having a verbal dispute with him. EMS responded to the scene and removed the victim to Kings County Hospital with gun shots wounds to his torso, groin and leg and a graze wound to his head. He is currently listed in critical, but stable, condition.


Attached is a video of the incident. In the video, you can see Suspect #2, a M/B dressed in all black, on the left side of the screen walking backwards handing a black bag to Suspect #3, a M/B wearing a white t-shirt and dark jeans. Suspect #3 takes the bag and removes a .32 caliber S&W revolver out of it and places it in his waistband. Suspect #3 then hands the weapon to Suspect #1, a M/B wearing a red jacket and light colored pants, in the doorway of McDonalds. The victim, wearing a white tank top and dark shorts, goes to enter McDonalds and is shot by Suspect #1. The suspects then flee into McDonalds, escaping through a side door.

Killed on Sterling Street (71st Precinct)

On Thursday September 29th, 2011 at approximately 2330 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 215 Sterling Street, in the confines of the 71 precinct. Upon arrival, police observed the victim (M/B/30) with one (1) gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday September 25th, 2011 at approximately 0312 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a female stabbed at the corner of McDougal street & Saratoga Avenue, in the confines of the 73 precinct. Upon arrival, police observed the victim (F/B/30's) with one (1x) stab wound to the head. EMS responded and transported the victim to Interfaith hospital where she was pronounced DOA. WANTED for Robbery on Myrtle & Throop: Julius "Stinky" Wright (79th Precinct)



The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in locating the following individual wanted in connection to robbery which occurred within the confines of the 79 precinct.  The circumstances are as follows:
On Monday, September 5, 2011 at approximately 0330 hours in the vicinity of Myrtle and Throop Ave's, a M/H/24 was approached by a perpetrator who threatened the victim with a simulated firearm. The suspect removed the victim's cell phone by force and asked the victim about his sexual orientation.  The suspect then berated the victim with anti-gay epithets.  The suspect then fled the location with the victims property and the victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect has been identified as Julius Wright, M/B/21, also known as "Stinky".  He is 6'1", 170lbs with a tattoo on his left forearm that spells "Slim".  He was last seen wearing dark clothing.

Teen Murdered at Boulevard Houses (75th Precinct)

On Thursday September 22, 2011 at approximately 1503 hours police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot in front of 268 Cozine Avenue (Boulevard Houses) within the confines of the 75 precinct. Upon arrival of police they discovered the victim (M/B/19) shot multiple times. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is continuing.

On Friday September 23rd, 2011 at 0423 hours at the corner of Sterling street and Nostrand avenue, within the confines of the 71 precinct, police responded to a call of a male shot. Upon arrival, police observed an unidentified M/B with numerous gunshot wounds to the face and body. EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County hospital where he was pronounced DOA. 3 Shot, One Killed on Rockaway Ave. (73rd Precinct)

On Sunday September 18, 2011 at approximately 0323 hrs. opposite 730 Rockaway Avenue in the confines of the 73 Pct.three people were shot.  Vic #1 a M/B/38 was shot one time in the shoulder and pronounced DOA on the scene, while Vic #2 a M/B/32 was shot one time in the abdomen and is in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital. Vic # 3 a M/B/26 was shot one time in the left foot and is in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital. No arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

VIDEO of Labor Day Murder and Gunfight on Park Place (77th Precinct)


This video was recovered from the scene of a homicide that occurred on Monday, September 5 at 9:04 p.m. at 637 Park Place in the confines of the 77 Precinct.

Eusi Johnson M/B/29, the victim of the homicide, is seen running from the location after being shot one time in the neck by the suspect Leroy Webster M/B/32.

Shortly after Johnson exits the building, Webster is seen running after the victim and firing another round in his direction. The suspect then returns to the front door of the building and turns to shoot at responding NYPD officers.

Webster falls after police fire. He later raises his firearm again and shoots again. Webster is then struck by fire returned by the officers.

Webster was taken into custody and charged with Murder 2 and Attempted Murder. Johnson later expired from his wound to the neck. Two (2) NYPD officers suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

WANTED for Rape on Buffalo Avenue (77th Precinct)


The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the following suspect wanted in connection with a Rape that occurred within the confines of the 77 Precinct.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at approximately 0130 hours a F/B/18 was walking in the vicinity of Buffalo Avenue when she was approached by the suspect who was armed with a knife. The suspect forced the victim into an alleyway where he raped her. The victim was treated at an area hospital.

Suspect Description:
M/B/18-23, approximately 5'7"-5'9" in height, medium build, with a dark birth mark on his lower right face. He was described as wearing a black sweatshirt, black jean shorts and black boots and a black du-rag.

WANTED for Robbery on Cleveland & Fulton Streets (75th Precinct)




The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the following three individuals wanted for an assault/robbery which took place on August 21, 2011 at approx 2215 hours at Cleveland Street and Fulton Street in the confines of the 75 Pct. The suspects approached the victim M/A/18 and asked him to use his phone, when he refused they physically assaulted him. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital with a head injury and facial contusions.

1. M/B light approx 17 years old wearing a white tee shirt, blue shorts and an Atlanta Braves hat



2. M/B dark approx 17 years old wearing a red sweat suit

On August 4, 2011 at approx 1840 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 125 Nostrand Avenue(Marcy Houses) in the confines of the 79 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered two people shot at the location. Victim #1 M/B/26 was shot 1x in the abdomen and taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. Victim #2 M/B/22 was shot 1x in the abdomen and taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Investigation ongoing.

Upon arrival of police, they discovered the victim (M/B/24) in front of 580 Blake Avenue shot in the head. EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the victim DOA. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the following two (2) individuals wanted in connection with a Robbery that occurred on August 1, 2011 in the confines of the 81 precinct.



Details as follows:


On Monday, August 1, 2011 at approx. 2330 hrs, the victim, F/W/28 was riding her bicycle in the rear of 72 Lewis Avenue in the confines of the 81 precinct when she was approached by two suspects, a M/B/approx. 20's and a M/H/ approx. 20's, who grabbed and threw her to the ground and ripped her purse off of her and fled to vicinity of 300 Vernon Ave.


Suspect#1 is described as a M/B/in his 20's with black hair and dark complexion. Weighing approx. 160-180 lbs, approx. 5'11 to 6'tall. Wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored pants and white sneakers.
Suspect#2 is described as a M/H/in is 20's with black hair and light complexion. Weighing approx. 180-120 lbs, approx. 5'11 to 6'0 tall. Wearing a green t shirt, dark colored shorts and light colored sneakers.

WANTED for iPad Mugging at Parkside Ave. Q Train (71st Precinct)


The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the suspect who is seen in the attached photo(s) in regards to a strong arm robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at approximately 0630 hours at the parkside Avenue "Q" line subway station within the confines of the 71 precinct.



On the above date and time the suspect approached the victim (M/B/21) and grabbed the victim(s) I Pad from his hand at which time a struggle ensued causing an injury to the victim(s) knee.


The suspect is described as a M/B, 18-25 years of age, short black hair and was wearing a dark colored baseball cap, brown tee shirt, dark colored jeans & white sneakers.

Murder in the Boulevard Houses (75th Precinct)

On Monday, August 29, 2011 at approximately 1709 hours police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot inside of 785 Schenck Avenue (Boulevard Houses) within the confines of the 75 precinct. Upon arrival of police they discovered the victim (M/B/51) shot in the torso inside the elevator on the first floor of the location. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Suspect in Crown Hts Murder Arrested (71st Precinct)

Shawn Williams was murdered on Nostrand Avenue on Aug. 2.


Subsequent to an ongoing investigation the following suspect has been arrested and charged:

Killer of Teen Caught; Arresting Officers Honored (77th Precinct)

In early June, 14-year-old Tyrek O'Hara-Morris was shot to death at 1250 Park Place.


Following an investigation, the following suspect was apprehended and arrested:

Dequan Edwards, M/B/18

Criminal Possession of a Weapon

NYPD Sergeant Robert Maloney, Police Officer Danny Fana and Police Officer Steven Minucci were recognized Thursday August 18, 2011 at Police Headquarters for apprehending an armed individual on June 2nd who Detectives later identified as the suspect in the murder of a 14- year-old boy that occurred the previous night in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

The officers were on patrol in the 77 Precinct when they observed a man, Dequan Edwards, grabbing and adjusting his waistband while walking along Rochester Avenue. When the officers approached Edwards to stop and question him regarding what they believed was a gun in his possession he fled into a building. The officers pursued Edwards and apprehended him after a brief struggle.  At the time of the arrest Edwards was in possession of a loaded .22 caliber firearm.

After further investigation it was determined that Edwards was wanted for the homicide that occurred the previous night when 14- year- old Tyrek O'Hara-Morris was shot in the eye and killed on Park Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Edwards was charged with Homicide and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

On Saturday July 23th, 2011 at 0346 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1703 Pitkin Ave, within the confines of the 73 precinct. Upon arrival, police observed victim #1 (M/B/21) with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and one (1) gunshot wound to the face, and Victim #2 (F/B/16) with one (1) gunshot wound to the right leg. EMS responded and pronounced Victim #1 DOA at the scene and transported Victim #2 to Brookdale hospital where she in stable condition. There are no arrest(s) at this time. Killed on Chester Street (73rd Precinct)

On Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2028 hours, police officers responded to 911 calls of a male shot in front of 508 Chester Street within the confines of the 73 Precinct.  Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive M/B/23 who sustained gunshot wounds to the torso.  EMS also responded and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA.  There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Murdered on Chauncey Street (81st Precinct)

On Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 1255 hours, police officers responded to 225 Chauncey Street within the confines of the 81 precinct.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a M/B/46 who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.  EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County hospital where he was pronounced DOA.  There are no arrests at this time and investigation is ongoing.

Two Shot, One Dead on Atlantic Avenue (81st Precinct)

On Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at approximately 0339 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at Prescott Place and Atlantic Avenue, within the confines of the 81 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed (2) male victims:


Victim #1: M/B/22 with gunshot wounds to the back and torso, transported by EMS to Brookdale hospital where he was later pronounced DOA.


Victim #2: M/B/24 with a gunshot wound to the back, transported by EMS to Interfaith hospital where he is listed in stable condition.


There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

WANTED for Attempted Bank Robbery, Flatlands Ave. (75th Precinct)

 The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the following suspect who is wanted in connection with an attempted bank robbery that occurred within the confines of the 75th Precinct. The details are as follows:

On Saturday, July 9, 2011, at approximately 1055 hours, the suspect entered the Roosevelt Savings Bank, located at 111-10 Flatlands Avenue, and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller refused and the suspect fled the location without any property.


The suspect is described as being a M/B, 20-25 years old, approx. 5'4"-5'6", 140 lbs.

Two Teens Shot, One Dead, on Avenue J (63rd Precinct)

On Saturday July 16, 2011 at approximately 1903 hours at the corner of East 39 Street and Avenue J, within the confines of the 63 Precinct, a M/B/13 was approached by an unidentified suspect who fired a gun striking the victim in the buttocks. The suspect walked up East 39 Street towards Avenue K where he fired at a M/B/15 striking him in the torso. The suspect then fled the location on foot. Both victims were transported to Kings County Hospital where the 15 year old was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Stabbed to Death, Crown & Nostrand (71st Precinct)

On Thursday, July 14, 2011 at approximately 2231 hours at the corner of Crown Street and Nostrand Avenue, within the confines of the 71 Precinct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim (M/B/37) stabbed in the torso. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. A M/B/45 was taken in for questioning in regards and the investigation is ongoing.


The identity of the DOA is pending family notification.

On Tuesday July 12, 2011 at approximately 2227 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 6 Parkside Court in the confines of the 71 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed a M/B/34 with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS also responded to location and transported the male to Kings County Hospital where he was later pronounced DOA.

On Saturday, July 2, 2011 at approximately 1336 hours at the intersection on Herzl Street and Newport Street, within the confines of the 73 Precinct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male shot. Guilty Verdicts in Attack on a Crown Heights Family

Two men accused of breaking into a Crown Heights apartment in 2007 and terrorizing a family during a robbery were convicted of sex abuse, robbery, assault and other charges on Monday [June 27, 2011] after a trial that lasted seven weeks in State Supreme Court in Brooklyn.


Justin Harris, 28, and Glendon Jackson,23, broke into the home on Sterling Place in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, 2007, with a third man, DeShawn Owens, 28, according to testimony from several victims. Mr. Jackson was convicted of rape; he attacked a 43-year-old mother and her 17-year-old daughter in a bathroom while another daughter, 5, looked on.

On Monday June 27th, 2011 at approx. 2108 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the F/O 62 Kosciuszko Street, in the confines of the 79th precinct.

Upon arrival, police observed the victim (M/B/24) with one (1x) gunshot wound to the head.

EMS responded and pronounced the victim DOA at the scene. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Teenager Beaten by Gang Dies (75th Precinct)

On Monday, June 6, 2011 at approximately 2228 hrs at the corner of Van Siclen Ave and Wortman Ave, within the confines of the 75 Pct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male being assaulted. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim, a M/B/17, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where on Friday, June 17, 2011 he succumb to his injuries. An ongoing investigation has determined that the victim was chased to the corner then beaten by a group of approximately 10 male blacks. There are no arrests.
