On Sunday, March 11, 2012 at approximately 1738 hours, Police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the corner of Vernon Avenue and Marcus Garvey Blvd, within the confines of the 81 Precinct. Upon arrival, Officers observed a M/B/23 with a gunshot wound to the back. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The deceased has been identified as:
Donyell Burton, M/B/23
370 Rutland Road
Family notified.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating the following individual wanted in connection with this homicide.
Suspect: Mitchell Wiggins
109 Marcus Garvey Boulevard
Suspect Mitchell Wiggins is described as a M/B/19, black hair, brown eyes, 5'6" tall and 150 lbs.
