NY Daily News, 7/5/08

Cops are hunting for a jealous man in the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend's new beau - an Army sergeant who had come from a New Jersey military base to attend a Fourth of July bash in Brooklyn, police said.

Kidson George, 26, took two bullets to the chest as he stood on the porch of a friend's Crown Heights home, his blood spraying fellow partygoers and sending screaming children dashing for cover, witnesses said.

"There were a bunch of kids outside on the porch who witnessed the whole thing," said the party's host, a friend of the dead man who asked to be identified by his stage name, D.J. Ice.
