On August 31, 2011 at 1920 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 180 Powell Street in the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered 3 people shot.
Victim # 1 M/B/19 was shot in the head and transported to Brookdale in critical condition. On Friday, September 2nd, 2011, Victim #1 was pronounced DOA. The victim has been identified as:
Daniel Aleys M/H/19
334 Blake Avenue
Victim #2 M/B/9 was shot in the leg and transported to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Victim #3 M/B/37 was shot in the leg and transported to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
On Thursday, September 1st, 2011, the following individual was arrested and charged in regards to the above incident:
Gilberto Vicente M/H/19 of 420 Watkins Street
Charges- Assault, CPW, Reckless Endangerment
