WANTED For Shooting Five: Curtis Peterson (83rd Precinct)

The  New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating the following suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of five (5) victims in the confines of the 83rd Precinct. Details are as follows:

On Saturday, July 20, 2013 at approximately 1410 hours, the suspect was among a group of males who approached the victims in the vicinity of 191 Menahan Street. The suspect produced a firearm and fired numerous times, striking a M/H/22 in the leg and a M/H/62 in the right ankle. Both were transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition. Additionally, a F/H/52 and a M/H/45 were each shot in the abdomen and transported by EMS to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition. And a F/H/37 was shot in the right knee and removed by EMS to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. A 9mm Taurus semiautomatic handgun was recovered.

Teen Killed on Halsey Street (83rd Precinct)

On May 28, 2011 at approx 0105 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at Halsey Street and Broadway in the confines of the 83 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered a M/B/19 shot 1x in the head and 1x in the chest. He was transported to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.

WANTED for Shooting on a Bus in Bushwick (83rd Precinct)

The New York City Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect wanted for a shooting within the confines of the 83 Pct. Details are as follows:

On Wednesday May 18, 2011 at approximately 1640 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot on a NYC MTA Bus (B60) at Stanhope St and Central Ave. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the victim, a M/B/18 shot 1x in the torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as M/B/18 wearing a light blue Holister sweatshirt

Kassandra Bonet was last seen leaving her residence for school on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at approximately 0830 hours. Ms. Bonet is described as being 5'0", 160 lbs. with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and white blouse with blue jeans.

Man Shot to Death, Halsey & Wilson (83rd Precinct)

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 2:39 a.m. police responded to a person shot in the vicinity of Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue, located within the confines of the 83rd Precinct.  Upon arrival a M/B/32 was discovered lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his back.  EMS also responded to the scene and pronounced the male D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

Woman Shot to Death, Hancock & Bushwick (83rd Precinct)

On Saturday, June 26, 2010 at approximately 1:17 a.m. at Hancock Street and Bushwick Avenue, in the confines of the 83 Precinct, police responded to a call of a person shot.  Upon arrival a F/B/22 was discovered lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to her body.  EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Woodhull Hospital where she was pronounced D.O.A.  There have been no arrests made in regards to this incident, the investigation is ongoing.

Fatal Stabbing, Harman Street (83rd Precinct)

ON SUNDAY 006/08/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 0329 HOURS IN FRONT 410 HARMAN STREET, IN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PRECINCT, POLICE RESPONDED TO A CALL OF AN UNCONSCIOUS MALE. UPON ARRIVAL IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VICTIM, AN UNIDENTIFIED M/H/20'S WAS STABBED SEVERAL TIMES TO THE TORSO. EMS RESPONDED AND PRONOUNCED THE VICTIM DOA AT THE SCENE. THERE ARE NO ARRESTS AT THIS TIME, THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.

Cop's son found slain in Brooklyn

An update on this week's murder in Bushwick.

The 18-year-old son of a New York City cop was stabbed to death in the hallway of a Brooklyn apartment building Thursday night, police sources said.

Police found the victim, Renato Scantlebury, bleeding heavily from his wounds in the Bushwick building shortly after 6p.m. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Woodhull Hospital.

A tenant said that just an hour earlier, Scantlebury had gotten into a fistfight with two men outside the building after he made a snide comment about their T-shirts.

"He died over that?" said the stunned tenant.

Witnesses told investigators they saw two or three men fleeing from the scene at 1160 Gates Ave.

Scantlebury lived a few blocks away on Kosciuszko St. with his mother, Police Officer Lisa Wade, who works in recruitment for the NYPD, sources said.

A man who identified himself as the victim's father said the 6-foot-tall teen was an aspiring rapper who doted on his 1-year-old daughter.

"He wanted a good life for his little girl," the dad said. "He was working at a Chuck E. Cheese downtown, but he had a demo out and was hoping it would be his big break."

"He was just a good kid," the dad said.

Teen Murdered in Bushwick (83rd Precinct)

ON THURSDAY, 05-01-2008 AT APPROXIMATELY 1808 HOURS, INSIDE THE HALLWAY OF 1160 GATES AVENUE, IN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PRECINCT, POLICE RESPONDED TO 911 CALLS FOR A MALE STABBED. UPON THEIR ARRIVAL POLICE FOUND A M/B/18 WITH MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS TO THE BODY. THE VICTIM WAS REMOVED TO WOODHULL HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DOA. THE IDENTITY OF THE DOA IS PENDING FAMILY NOTIFICATION. THERE IS NO ARREST AND THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.

WANTED: Bushwick Robbery Team (83rd Precinct)

THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING 3 MALES WANTED FOR AN ATTEMPTED ROBBERY AND A SUBSEQUENT SHOOTING WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PCT. DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

ON SUNDAY 03-23-08 AT APPROXIMATELY 0625 HRS THE VICTIM, A M/H/28, WAS IN THE V/O MYRTLE AVE AND GROVE STREET WHEN HE WAS APPROACHED BY 3 M/H's WHO ATTEMPTED TO ROB HIM. THE VICTIM FOUGHT OF THE ASSAILANTS WHO THEN FLED THE SCENE.

A SHORT TIME LATER F/O 302 IRVING AVE, THE VICTIM WAS ONCE AGAIN APPROACHED BY 1 OF THE PREVIOUS MALE HISPANICS WHO SHOT HIM 1X IN THE THIGH AND FLED THE SCENE.

THE VICTIM WAS BROUGHT TO ELMURST HOSPITAL IN STABLE CONDITION.

ON 03/04/2008 AT APPROX. 2000 HRS, AT 22 COVERT ST BROOKLYN (CONFINES 083 PCT) POLICE RESPONDED AND FOUND A M/B/19 UNCONCIOUS AND UNRESPONSIVE. THE AIDED WAS SHOT 1X IN THE TORSO. EMS RESPONDED AND TRANSPORTED THE AIDED TO WOODHULL HOSPITAL, WERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DOA AT 2115 HRS. INVESTIGATION ONGOING.

POLICE ARE ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MARION SANDERSON, A F/B/64, DESCRIBED AS 5'05" APPROX 130LBS, LAST SEEN AT APPROX 0800 HRS ON 02-14-08 AT 13 WOODBINE ST. IN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PCT.

MISSING WAS WEARING BLACK PANTS, A BLACK OVERCOAT, AND GRAY SHOES. SANDERSON IS OF GOOD PHYSICAL, BUT POOR MENTAL CONDITION.

ON 1-29-08 AT APPROX 0450 AT BUSHWICK AVE AND ELDERT STREET IN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PCT A M/H/29 WAS STABBED 3X IN THE TORSO BY UNK PERSONS. THE VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION. INVESTIGATION ONGOING.

POLICE ARE ASKING FOR THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MIGUEL DIAZ, A M/H/51, LAST SEEN AT APPROX 0600 HRS ON 01-24-08 AT 421 HIMROD ST. IN THE CONFINES OF THE 83 PCT.

MISSING WAS WEARING A WHITE T-SHIRT, BLUE PANTS, AND BLUE SANDALS.

DIAZ IS OF GOOD PHYSICAL, BUT POOR MENTAL CONDITION.

In all of the above incidents, the suspects approach the victim(s) who are unloading various types of merchandise from delivery trucks and demand cash at gunpoint. There have been no injuries reported. During the robberies, the suspects take cash and cellphones.

Clean-shaven.

130 - 140 lbs. (thin build),

Goatee and razor bumps on his face.

UPON ARRIVAL THEY FOUND A M/B/37 SHOT 1X TO THE HEAD. VICTIM WAS REMOVED TO WYCKOFF HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED D.O.A. AT 1933 HOURS. NO ARRESTS. INVESTIGATION ONGOING.
