Teen Murdered at Tilden Houses (73rd Precinct)

On Monday August 18, 2014 at 1935 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in the rear of 275 Livonia Avenue(Tilden Houses) in the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered a male 18 shot 1x in the chest. The victim was removed to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. The investigation is ongoing.

Murder at Kingsborough Houses (73rd Precinct)

On Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 0205 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 708 Kingsborough 7 Walk, Kingsborough Houses, within the confines of the 73 Precinct (PSA 2). Upon arrival, police observed a 36-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the male to Interfaith Hospital, where he was later pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Murder at Linden Houses (75th Precinct)

On October 31, 2013 at 1930 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 270 Wortman Avenue(Linden Houses)in the confines of the 75 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered a M/B/46 shot multiple times inside of a 2002 Chrysler Voyager.  The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.

Murder at Kingsborough Houses (77th Precinct)

On Wednesday October 2nd, 2013 at 0445 hours inside of 154 Kingsborough 1st Walk within the confines of the 77th precinct, police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed. Upon arrival, responding officers observed the victim, a M/B/39, with a stab wound to the chest and arm. EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.. A F/B/31 was taken into custody at the scene and charges are pending.

Murdered At Lafayette Gardens (79th Precinct)

On Tuesday, October 1,2013 at approximately 1130 hours, police officers responded to a 911 call for a female shot in the courtyard of 470 Dekalb Avenue within the confines of the 79th Precinct (PSA3).  Upon arrival, officers discovered female black 24 years of age  with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS responded and transported the victim to Brooklyn Hospital where she was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time and investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, September 9, 2013 at approximately 0535 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 920 Vermont Street (Penn Wortman Houses), within the confines of the 75 Precinct (PSA 2). Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified M/B with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the victim DOA at the scene. CAUGHT for 2011 Murder on Pacific Street (77th Precicnt)

On June 21, 2011, a 17-year-old named Darrell Smith was stabbed to death at 1785 Pacific Street; Details here.  Police later identified Orpheus Nelson as a suspect.

On Friday August 3rd, 2012 pursuant to a continued investigation the following individual has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

On Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1746 hours, police responded to a report of a person shot in the vicinity of the Linden Houses, located at 580 Stanley Avenue, within the confines of the 75th Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers discovered the victim, a M/B/23, shot in the torso. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

Upon arrival, officers observed a M/B/19 with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS also responded to the location, and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) and the investigation is ongoing.

Andrea Warren was last seen leaving her residence located at 414 Sutter Avenue, on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2200 hours. Ms. Warren is described as being a F/H/13, 5'5" and 120 lbs. with brown hair and eyes.

Marianna Caldelario is described as being 5'1", 100 lbs., with brown eyes, brown hair and medium a complexion. She was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Killed at the Marcy Houses (79th Precinct)

On August 4, 2011 at approx 1840 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 125 Nostrand Avenue(Marcy Houses) in the confines of the 79 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered two people shot at the location. Victim #1 M/B/26 was shot 1x in the abdomen and taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. Victim #2 M/B/22 was shot 1x in the abdomen and taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. Investigation ongoing.

Shot to Death at Unity Plaza Houses (75th Precinct)

On Sunday, September 4, 2011 at approximately 2201 hours, police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot at 585 Blake Avenue (Unity Plaza Houses) within the confines of the 75 precinct. Upon arrival of police, they discovered the victim (M/B/24) in front of 580 Blake Avenue shot in the head. EMS also responded to the location and pronounced the victim DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

WANTED for Robbery on Lewis Ave. (81st Precinct)



The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the following two (2) individuals wanted in connection with a Robbery that occurred on August 1, 2011 in the confines of the 81 precinct.



Details as follows:


On Monday, August 1, 2011 at approx. 2330 hrs, the victim, F/W/28 was riding her bicycle in the rear of 72 Lewis Avenue in the confines of the 81 precinct when she was approached by two suspects, a M/B/approx. 20's and a M/H/ approx. 20's, who grabbed and threw her to the ground and ripped her purse off of her and fled to vicinity of 300 Vernon Ave.


Suspect#1 is described as a M/B/in his 20's with black hair and dark complexion. Weighing approx. 160-180 lbs, approx. 5'11 to 6'tall. Wearing a white t-shirt, dark colored pants and white sneakers.
Suspect#2 is described as a M/H/in is 20's with black hair and light complexion. Weighing approx. 180-120 lbs, approx. 5'11 to 6'0 tall. Wearing a green t shirt, dark colored shorts and light colored sneakers.

Murder in the Boulevard Houses (75th Precinct)

On Monday, August 29, 2011 at approximately 1709 hours police responded to a 911 call reporting a male shot inside of 785 Schenck Avenue (Boulevard Houses) within the confines of the 75 precinct. Upon arrival of police they discovered the victim (M/B/51) shot in the torso inside the elevator on the first floor of the location. EMS also responded to the location and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Murder at Weeksville Houses (77th Precinct)

On Monday, May 30th, 2011 at 0511 hours, police responded to a call of shots fired in the vicinity of Pacific Street and Schenectdy Avenue. Upon arrival, an unresponsive M/B/37 was discovered in front of 1650 Pacific Street, the victim of two gunshot wounds, one to the left arm region and one to the left side of his head.
EMS responded and removed aided to King County Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA at 0553 hours. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

A Brooklyn handyman died early Monday after being shot in the head while riding his bike a block from his house, cops said.

Kareem Russell, 37, was found lying in front of a building on Pacific St. near Schenectady Ave. in Crown Heights a little after 5 a.m., police said.

He was shot once in the left arm and once on the left side of his head.

Russell was taken to Kings County Hospital where he died a short time later.

No arrests have been made.

Relatives said Russell was the father of an 8-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl and worked as a handyman, doing plumbing and electrical work for a living.

"He was a family guy," said his 25-year-old sister, who would not give her name. "He was a good person. He was very kind. He had a good sense of humor."

Russell's aunt, who also would not give her name, said she suspected he was just in the wrong place at the the wrong time.

"He was like my son," she said. "He was a good kid. He would do anything for anybody."

"I don't know what happened. I wish it didn't," she said.
