Shot & Killed on Jamaica Avenue (75th Precinct)

On Thursday July 28th, 2011 at approximately 0255 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front 754 Jamaica Avenue, within the confines of the 75 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed a M/H/34 with gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the male to Jamaica hospital where he was later pronounced DOA. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Stabbed to Death on Bergen Street (77th Precinct)

On Monday, July 25, 2011 at approximately 1921 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed inside 1400 Bergen Street 4th floor stairwell within the confines of the 77 precinct. Upon arrival of police they discovered the victim (M/B/25) with multiple stab wounds to the torso. EMS also responded and transported the victim to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.

Double Shooting, One Dead on Pitkin Ave. (73rd Precinct)

On Saturday July 23th, 2011 at 0346 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1703 Pitkin Ave, within the confines of the 73 precinct. Upon arrival, police observed victim #1 (M/B/21) with multiple gunshot wounds to the body and one (1) gunshot wound to the face, and Victim #2 (F/B/16) with one (1) gunshot wound to the right leg. EMS responded and pronounced Victim #1 DOA at the scene and transported Victim #2 to Brookdale hospital where she in stable condition. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Killed on Chester Street (73rd Precinct)

On Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2028 hours, police officers responded to 911 calls of a male shot in front of 508 Chester Street within the confines of the 73 Precinct.  Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive M/B/23 who sustained gunshot wounds to the torso.  EMS also responded and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced DOA.  There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Murdered on Chauncey Street (81st Precinct)

On Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 1255 hours, police officers responded to 225 Chauncey Street within the confines of the 81 precinct.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a M/B/46 who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.  EMS responded and transported the victim to Kings County hospital where he was pronounced DOA.  There are no arrests at this time and investigation is ongoing.

Two Shot, One Dead on Atlantic Avenue (81st Precinct)

On Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at approximately 0339 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at Prescott Place and Atlantic Avenue, within the confines of the 81 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed (2) male victims:


Victim #1: M/B/22 with gunshot wounds to the back and torso, transported by EMS to Brookdale hospital where he was later pronounced DOA.


Victim #2: M/B/24 with a gunshot wound to the back, transported by EMS to Interfaith hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

WANTED for Attempted Bank Robbery, Flatlands Ave. (75th Precinct)

 The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the following suspect who is wanted in connection with an attempted bank robbery that occurred within the confines of the 75th Precinct. The details are as follows:

On Saturday, July 9, 2011, at approximately 1055 hours, the suspect entered the Roosevelt Savings Bank, located at 111-10 Flatlands Avenue, and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller refused and the suspect fled the location without any property.


The suspect is described as being a M/B, 20-25 years old, approx. 5'4"-5'6", 140 lbs.

Two Teens Shot, One Dead, on Avenue J (63rd Precinct)

On Saturday July 16, 2011 at approximately 1903 hours at the corner of East 39 Street and Avenue J, within the confines of the 63 Precinct, a M/B/13 was approached by an unidentified suspect who fired a gun striking the victim in the buttocks. The suspect walked up East 39 Street towards Avenue K where he fired at a M/B/15 striking him in the torso. The suspect then fled the location on foot. Both victims were transported to Kings County Hospital where the 15 year old was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Stabbed to Death, Crown & Nostrand (71st Precinct)

On Thursday, July 14, 2011 at approximately 2231 hours at the corner of Crown Street and Nostrand Avenue, within the confines of the 71 Precinct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim (M/B/37) stabbed in the torso. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. A M/B/45 was taken in for questioning in regards and the investigation is ongoing.


The identity of the DOA is pending family notification.

On Tuesday July 12, 2011 at approximately 2227 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 6 Parkside Court in the confines of the 71 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers observed a M/B/34 with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS also responded to location and transported the male to Kings County Hospital where he was later pronounced DOA.

On Saturday, July 2, 2011 at approximately 1336 hours at the intersection on Herzl Street and Newport Street, within the confines of the 73 Precinct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male shot. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim, a M/B/43, shot several times in the torso. Guilty Verdicts in Attack on a Crown Heights Family

Two men accused of breaking into a Crown Heights apartment in 2007 and terrorizing a family during a robbery were convicted of sex abuse, robbery, assault and other charges on Monday [June 27, 2011] after a trial that lasted seven weeks in State Supreme Court in Brooklyn.


Justin Harris, 28, and Glendon Jackson,23, broke into the home on Sterling Place in the early morning hours of Aug. 30, 2007, with a third man, DeShawn Owens, 28, according to testimony from several victims. Mr. Jackson was convicted of rape; he attacked a 43-year-old mother and her 17-year-old daughter in a bathroom while another daughter, 5, looked on.

On Monday June 27th, 2011 at approx. 2108 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the F/O 62 Kosciuszko Street, in the confines of the 79th precinct.

Upon arrival, police observed the victim (M/B/24) with one (1x) gunshot wound to the head.

EMS responded and pronounced the victim DOA at the scene. There are no arrest(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Teenager Beaten by Gang Dies (75th Precinct)

On Monday, June 6, 2011 at approximately 2228 hrs at the corner of Van Siclen Ave and Wortman Ave, within the confines of the 75 Pct, Police responded to a 911 call of a male being assaulted. Upon arrival, responding Officers discovered the victim, a M/B/17, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS also responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital where on Friday, June 17, 2011 he succumb to his injuries. An ongoing investigation has determined that the victim was chased to the corner then beaten by a group of approximately 10 male blacks. There are no arrests.

Murder on Saint Marks Ave. (73rd Precinct)

On June 12, 2011 at approx 1812 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 1505 St. Mark's Avenue in the confines of the 73 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered an unidentified M/B shot in the head. The victim was pronounced DOA at the scene.

Persuant to an ongoing investigation, the following person has been arrested in regards to this incident:
